Happy Easter!

Our first Easter as three was a day to remember. Mikayla slept in, leaving John and I antsy to see if the Easter Bunny came and when we finally woke her up just before 9 a.m., we barely had time to rush through oatmeal, get her dressed and get to church by 9:30 a.m. We made it in the nick of time, and guess what? When we got home, we discovered that the Easter Bunny had indeed paid us a visit.

Following weeks of 100+ degree temperatures, we discovered that
no matter where you live, it always rains on Easter.
It was merely a mist, but really?

Mikayla was super excited to explore her loot
when Daddy took her in the living room.
Easter Eggs were scattered everywhere!

Mikayla's first Easter Basket!

"Ooooh, a ball!"

"Yep, I'm wearing bunny ears. What of it?"

"Thanks for the hat Grandpa T!"

"Hmm."

"This is a great egg."

"Mom and Dad aren't looking, I'm going for the basket. "

"Thanks for the new sweater for Teddy, Great Grammy!"

"Bath time! Daddy, please turn on the magic waterfall."
We all had a great day and finished the evening with an apple cedar smoked ham shared with friends. What more could one ask for? We hope you all had a wonderful Easter celebration as well. Cheers!

It's All About the Water

Mom, I Caught a Bunny!

In preparation for Easter, we spent Saturday at Laughlin's Spring Family Day. The festive event featured a 7,000 egg Easter egg hunt, kids galore and decent enough grass that Mikayla was finally able to be introduced to the green stuff.

"Look Mom, I caught a bunny!"

2009: 6,000 eggs, 48 seconds to collect
2010: 7,000 eggs, 72 second to collect
2011: 7,000 eggs, we didn't hear the final time, but it was quick!

Waiting for the hunt to begin...

"I think I found something..."

"Is this what I'm looking for?"

"Tastes right."

"Lemme at it!"

Mikayla's personal stash, now to guard her treasures.

Happy Baby!

"Don't worry, I'll figure out what's in here."

Still chewing on that egg

In line for hot dogs

"Hmm..are there more out there?"

"What does the yellow one taste like?"

"Mmm..much better than the plastic egg."

Getting sleepy.

"Focus...focus..."
